At Family Roots Design & Construction Inc., our mission is to provide high-quality design services and home construction that meet the unique needs of each client. We put pride in creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also stand the test of time. We believe in family, trust and growth, with these values at our core, we strive to build relationships with our clients and guide them through the journey of home construction.
From Humble Beginnings
Founded in 2025, Family Roots Design & Construction Inc. is a business built on family values. Two sisters and an uncle have grown individually over the years. United through our passion for home construction and a desire to provide top-quality design services and home renovation solutions, we help clients put roots down where it matters most.
Under the Surface
Cori Reilly, the founder of Family Roots Design & Construction Inc., is a driven individual with an advanced diploma in Architectural Technology. She has completed college certificates in Residential Design and Construction, as well as Building Officials Fundamentals, and holds qualifications under her BCIN (Building Code Identification Number). This expertise allows her to offer exceptional design services for OBC Part 9 buildings and houses. Her uncle and long-time business partner, Dan Templeton, brings a wealth of on-the-job skills, proven building practices, and endless creativity to home construction projects. Her sister, Kelsie Reilly, contributes 5 years of accounting, project management, and tech skills in the construction industry. She has proven business skills, expertly crossing the t's and dotting the i's, all while maintaining a next level of professionalism.
BCIN Designer (Architectural Designer)
In Ontario, a BCIN (Building Code Identification Number) is required for preparation of plans for building permit applications. Designers are certified by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for the design of certain types of buildings. Our designer is qualified to work on BCIN Part 9 houses, including renovations and additions. When your plans, submitted for building permit, are stamped by a BCIN-qualified designer, you can rest assured that your application will be accepted on time and follows all local regulations. A BCIN designer offers experience to ensure compliance as well as function and aesthetics.
We offer an all-in-one Design Package. From concept to code-compliance construction drawings that are ready for permit submission, we handle it all. We also ensure collaboration with engineers, building officials and sub-contractors, so you don’t have to.
